Join Historic Arkansas Museum on Facebook, streaming live from the historic grounds starting at 5 pm. They will mix up a mocktail for special guests – plein air artists capturing the beauty of spring at the museum, demonstrate how to make a kite and feature some products from the Museum Store, including a paint kit created by Arkansas artist Tram Colwin and a fun, old-fashioned lawn game.
At Old State House Museum join in at 7 p.m., as Steven Koch of Arkansongs visits with the Old State House's Daniel Cockrell on Zoom for a look at the early years of Barton Coliseum. For decades Barton was THE showcase venue for the biggest touring acts in music. This program will focus on the years from 1955-1965, and is the first in a new 2FAN series that explores Barton's impact as a musical venue.it celebrates OsHM's exhibit Play It Loud: Concerts at Barton Coliseum, debuting April 27.
